Tarik Karam is an Arab-American filmmaker based in New York. After graduating from the American Film Institute, he worked with director Stephen Daldry, co-producing and second unit directing the Oscar nominated films Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and The Reader. His directorial expertise extends to commercials for prominent brands like The New York Times, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, CVS, and McDonald’s. His creative efforts have been honored with prestigious awards including Clio, D&AD, and One Show accolades.

Tarik directed a 30-minute award winning gun violence documentary for Netflix as well as several episodes of a racing documentary, Fastest Car, in partnership with Condé Nast. Most recently he has finished directing second unit on the Russo Brothers’ upcoming film, “The Electric State” with Millie Bobby Brown and Stanley Tucci.
